I used to take the train over the bay bridge when I was little, was it a train or a cable are? I think it was a train, my brother said it was a cable car? Who's right--I can't remember?

I think the engine on the left is still sitting in the yard, visible to your right when you're driving over the Bay Bridge toward the city. Once I saw I worker climbing on top of it, but I've never seen it move. Any idea what type of engine it is, or if it's still in use?

Eng. 97 is in use every work day as the only motive power on the OTR. OTR usually works weekday mornings.
