Interesting to note where mainland tracks once were behind the station is now the new 880 Freeway, built to replace the Cypress structure collapsed by the Loma Preita earthquake.Mainland tracks are now several hundred feet west of station on other side of 880. Obviously, Oakland now has a new station at another location.

It remains status quo, nothing has been done to the property after it was abandoned. There is a new station, built in the 1990s'miles from this spot. Now at Oakland's Jack London Square, not bad for modern architecture. The downside, the Bay Area Rapid Transit District [BART] does not have a station any where near it. Departing and arriving passengers need either a ride to and from, or use a taxicab.
