Looks a lot like the location is on Shephard Canyon in the Oakland hills. Shephard Canyon would be off to the right below the poles.

This can almost only be between Eastport and Pinehurst. The S.N. right of way was pretty easy to discern especially Alameda and Contra Costa counties.
