An uncle operated #271 when it ran on the Leona Heights Line. He told us one of the off & on passengers was Wyatt Earp, his sister lived along that line. Back in the 1920s'.

There was a pay phone in the station. When thumped just right, it was free fare for a kid to ride around with just a friend, alone. Little girls in the 1950's. Imagine ! Neighbor boys tore the warning flasher at Cambridge Way down on the trains last day, for a souvenir.
