For so few remnants of the SN, I was excited to see this. I don't know what it was, but it looks like some kind of mileage marker or something. The top has a bevel so it appears that this was the correct height. The top is roughly 2 feet above the roadbed

No, this was taken on the other side of the hill past Canyon and just a few feet short of where the ROW crossed Canyon Rd.

Was that stump midway down the bike path between Montclair and Paso Robles Road? I believe thats is the wooden post for the overhead.
