Shafter Ave is on the left. Tracks are crossing Patton St. There were several switches in the yard in 1948. Never saw a car in the yard.

This is the siding that was to lead into the planned 59th Street Yard. It was never built. Don't know of any picnic facilities here. They would have been at Pinehurst or Lake Temescal..

White fence on the left marks Temescal creek, still above ground here until freeway built. To the left just out of sight, Chabot School. I explored the yard during attendance at said school, about 1949-1953, several switches and tracks in the weeds, never saw the yard used.
